Jules began her wine career at 20 working in high-end restaurants in San Diego, New York, and San Francisco. A trip to Italy anchored her love of Italian wines and now she travels annually to the renowned wine & spirits exhibition Vinitaly in Verona. Strengthening relationships with winemakers, tasting new vintages firsthand, and finding unique and interesting additions for her wine lists.
After years of fine dining, she began collaborating with renowned pizza chef Tony Gemignani. Opening new sites, leading staff wine education, and managing the wine program at the restaurants. Juli has earned more than nine Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence awards. Jules continues to share her love of wine in the tradition of what originally inspired her - holding wine seminars, consulting on food and wine pairings, and building comprehensive and interesting wine programs for clients.

Jadot
Bourgogne Blanc
Oh, the Chardonnay nay sayers that were ready to poo-poo this wine!! This is probably the freshest expression of the Chardonnay varietal. I like to call it a non Chardy Chard...very technical. This wine is fresh, easy drinking, lots of orange blossom and citrus. It will pair with lots of foods, even hold up to vegetables. Enjoy!

Matanzas Creek Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma County
Of course I had to choose something from Sonoma, the `backyard’ to where I live in San Francisco. This is a blend of the best Sauvignon Blanc grapes from several vineyards around the Sonoma Valleys… remember I said there were 7! This wine has more acid than the rose, which means you can pair with richer foods and creamier cheeses if you want. Lots of stone fruits in the nose and taste of this wine. Stone fruits like nectarine, peach blossom, with hints of key lime, and pear are some of the flavors and smells you will experience with this Sauv Blanc.

Chateau La Nerthe
Cote du Rhone
This wine is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre grapes. Whenver a wine has Syrah in it, there will be a tell-tale sign on the nose – white pepper. This is a medium bodied fruity wine with polished tannins. The palate consists of mostly black fruit flavors like currant, blueberry, with hints of plum and herbs. This would pair well with meat pasta, grilled meats, vegetables. If in hot climates, or just prefer, this wine would also be delicious slightly chilled.

Santa Margherita Prosecco
Prosecco is made in a few areas in the north of Italy, but the best place is the Valdobbiandene in the Veneto Region. This is where the grape that makes prosecco, Glera, really thrives. Prosecco has smaller bubbles, and less alcohol than Champagne. The aroma of this wine has some peach notes, with hints of pineapple and golden apples. This wine is great to just sip, pair with seafood dishes, or great with a cheese and fruit plate.

Pietradolce
Etna Rosso
Made from the Nerello Mascalese grape, this is a different side of Sicilian red that some may not be familiar with. A lighter, juicy red from a boutique winery on the northern slope of Mount Etna, this wine has a bouquet of berry fruit, brushwood, with minerality and a long finish. This wine pairs with heartier seafood dishes and can also be enjoyed slightly chilled.

Brancaia
Tre
A Super Tuscan!! This wine is called Tre because it sources grapes from three different Estates in Tuscany, the Maremma, Castellina, Radda in Chianti. This Super Tuscan is made from 70% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot, and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. For those who like a heartier wine, look for the same blend, but different percentages. Higher Cabernet percentage, bigger wine, higher Sangiovese, food friendly, higher Merlot, easy drinker. This wine has lots of red fruit characteristics, plum, a bit of chocolate, with a hint of barnyard on the finish from the Sangiovese. This wine would go well with pasta dishes, heartier seafood, and grilled meats.
